Description:

We are seeking an assistant teacher for one of our primary classrooms. The candidate should have experience working in a Montessori preschool program with a true commitment and passion for early childhood education, the Montessori approach, and progressive education. The candidate must possess skills to work well on a teaching team, be flexible and positive. The ideal candidate will work to follow the children’s interests, create and adapt the curriculum, and work closely with their team to provide the best possible classroom experience for the children.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children ages 3-5
Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits (Preferred)
Ability to work well with other adults
Growth mindset and problem-solving approach
Experience working in a diverse and inclusive setting
Montessori teacher certification a + (but will consider applicants on the pathway to receiving Montessori certification)
Experience working in an AMS Montessori environment preferred
Strong desire for professional growth and development
