Description:
The Brownstone School is seeking assistant teaching professionals for the 2024-2025 school year. Positions are available in our three-year-old program (3s) and Pre-K.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provides for the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
- Works collaboratively and enthusiastically with a team of colleagues, administrators, and parents.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of curriculum using an emergent curriculum philosophy.
- Works within the framework of the program to carry out its functions, policies, and procedures.
- Observes, monitors, and documents student behavior and growth; assists Head Teacher in compiling progress reports.
- Develops and maintains sound family relationships; is responsive to questions, suggestions, and concerns; respects the confidential nature of all information.
- Participates in a self-evaluation process; assumes responsibility for discussing his/her professional performance objectively in regularly scheduled supervisory conferences with the Director; identifies areas for professional growth and improvement.
- Is aware of and familiar with emergency protocols and all DOHMH guidelines.
- Responsible for keeping classroom equipment and materials tidy.
- Attends all scheduled meetings and other school events as outlined in their Letter of Engagement; completes professional obligations before leaving school premises in the evening or prior to vacation periods.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Must be fully vaccinated; both Covid and all other DOH vaccination requirements.
- Must fill out a background check application as mandated by DOH, including fingerprints through Identigo.
