Description:

Group Leader- SCOPE Education Services Licensed School Age Child Care Programs

Part positions in various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County Elementary Schools

Hours 7:00-9:00 am and/or 2:00-6:30 PM M-F on school days, (follow school district’s calendar)

TIME & LOCATIONS REQUIRMENTS: Must be available to work extra hours if needed to maintain required ratio of students to staff. Must accept at temporary or permanent assignment change if needed.

All positions must consent and undergo:

• Criminal background check and NYS Central Registry check
• Successfully complete a physical examination by a medical doctor with TB immunization, being healthy enough to work with children
• Must be able to complete 15 hours of paid in-service training on required NYS Office Children and Family Services topics annually

Responsibilities:

• Supervise children
• Implements daily schedule, activities
• Ensures compliance with NYS Office Children and Family Services School Age Child Care Regulations
• Reinforces behavior management strategies utilized by the Site and Assistant Director
• Displays a warm, positive attitude with parents
