Lead Teacher

Description:

The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate program following the curriculum provided. They are committed to the mission of Kids First Childcare. The teacher is accountable for general supervision of children and staff in the classroom and reports to the Director.

Responsibilities:

-Plan and prepare the daily activities for the classroom.

-Maintain progress records for each child both educationally and developmentally. 

-Maintain open communication with each family in their classroom as well as any staff working in the classroom. 

-Maintain a safe environment for all participants in the classroom.

-Report to Director any needs, concerns in a timely manner.

-Lift up to 40 lbs.

-Be mobile to ensure safety of children.

-Assist children in diapering/toileting needs.
