As the child’s primary caregiver during their time with us, counselors must be attentive to the child’s physical, emotional, and social needs.

During their time with us, we aim to teach each child to be a Friend, an Individual, a Team Player, someone who cares about the Environment around them, and a Risk Taker. We are looking for outstanding role models to inspire and mentor our children!

Maybe you’re good at science, you’re crafty, or you’re really into sports! Whatever it is - Counselors should be able to get creative in planning and facilitating different activities and projects.

Our Team Leaders should be fun, energetic, kid-friendly, open-minded, patient, flexible, willing to learn, mature and compassionate!

-You need to be a responsible adult who can make responsible decisions.
-A person who loves to help youth succeed at trying new things.
-The ability and willingness to connect with children, as this is a key to building trust.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a group of 15-20 children each week, fostering inclusion and connection:
• Maintain a safe and happy environment for children and provide leadership and Team spirit to all.
• Continually assess and support child engagement ands well being by monitoring group dynamics, as well as the needs of individual children.
• Facilitate team connection time with the children through group activities, games, etc.
• Partner with Co-Leader to support behavior management needs through guiding decision making and positive reinforcement.
• Prepare and organize project materials in collaboration with Co-Leaders ahead of time.
• Provide both group and individual support to all children in your care, among diverse age groups, ability levels, and differing support needs.
