Seedlings is an intimate private preschool located in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. We offer tiny class sizes and small student teacher ratios so we may focus on developing social skills and ensuring all the emotional needs of our children are met. Learning at Seedlings happens everyday through imaginary play, art, gardening, singing, dancing, and science. The children are exploring outdoor every day in our private backyard.
- The Head Teacher will co-lead a classroom of 8-10 children with an additional lead teacher and floater.
- The co-lead with collaborate and create an innovative, interesting and interactive play based curriculum.Â
- The co-lead will have excellent communication skills and enjoy updating families daily.
- The co-lead will be interested in growing and learning new ideas and trends.
- The co-lead will assist in every aspect of classroom management which includes behavior management, decoration, design, organization and cleaning. We are a tiny program, and every single person in the school will contribute to anything necessary to ensure the classroom is organized and able to run efficiently.
- The co-lead must have teaching experience.Â

- Co-lead a group of eight to 10 - 3 year old children.
- Will create a warm, encouraging and supportive classroom and environment.
- Creative and collaborative in developing a child-centered play-based curriculum.Â
- Compassionately communicate daily with with parents and caregiversÂ
- Assist with weekly newsletters
- Self starter and a team player.Â
Teaching Certificates in:
- Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2);
- Nursery, Kindergarten and Grades 1–6 (N–6);
- Prekindergarten–Grade 6 (P–6); or
If you do not have certification, experience and early childhood education study plans will be considered.Â
Minimum Education Level:Â Associate's Degree
Preferred Education Level:Â NYS Teacher Certification
